Dr. Schwerzler is a licensed Psychologist in the state of Kentucky. He received his Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology at the University of Denver in 2004. He then received his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver in 2009. He has been in private practice since 2010. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Kentucky Psychological Association and the Association for Behavioral Analysis.
Dr. Schwerzler has a clinical background which includes providing therapy services to children, adolescents and adults of all ages. He has been trained in the treatment of anxiety disorders including PTSD, OCD and Panic Disorder. He also has had training in dealing with other compulsive behaviors including hoarding and a number of addictive disorders. He has also specialized in substance abuse and alcohol treatment in a variety of settings including VA hospitals, prisons and private treatment facilities.
Dr. Schwerzler has been trained in psychological assessment including the assessment of mental health disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, substance abuse evaluations and anger management evaluations. Dr. Schwerzler is also working on a specialty in forensic psychology.
